Is electrolysis safe?

Electrolysis has over 137 years of historical effectiveness and safety. Your electrolysis will use the most effective, up to date methods of sterilization and disinfection. A single-use, disposable probe is used with each patient and discarded after each treatment session.

Is electrolysis permanent?

Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal. 

Electrolysis does involve a process and series of treatments. The number of sessions required depends on a number of variables such as: the cause of the unwanted hair, how consistent the patient is in keeping the recommended appointment schedule, and the density and coarseness of the hair. Appointments will be frequent in the beginning and then become less frequent later on.

Is electrolysis painful?

Your electrolysis will work with you closely to make sure that they work within your comfort level of treatment by adjusting settings specifically to you.


Electrolysis is often described as a "warming, tingling, and sometimes stinging sensation" but is considered tolerable. Each patient has different levels of pain tolerance and your electrolysis will be sure to work within your tolerance.
